Whoever invented the rule that you can’t wear white after Labor Day obviously didn’t know how a-ma-zing white jeans look when paired with a white chunky turtleneck sweater. For me this fashion rule is one to definitely break.
Keep it simple and clean, aim for heavier and richer fabrics: cashmere, mohair, merino wool. Wear with skinny jeans or leather leggings and effortless tossed hair. Nothing is as sophisticated and chic as dressing elegantly in all white.
When it comes to white, I say wear it all year round—fall and winter whites, is specially fresh and unexpected during the colder seasons. I think women should see what works best for them, experiment and find the best shade of white for her skin tone – and the best sweater silhouette for her body type. I personally like boxy oversized cuts like this beautiful Jcrew white turtleneck in Merino wool (similar here and here)
For fall I love metallic accessories – pop of silver gives it a very sleek and modern feel. Wear it with gold accessories if you want to warm up a white outfit.
My whole look in this picture was from Jcrew, with these super cute Jcrew high waisted toothpick white jeans. Sky high pumps and an ultra rare limited edition Chanel Boy bag from the Fall-Winter 2015/16 collection, made from a combination of silver calf skin and black goat skin with gunmetal hardware ( that you can get pre-loved here).
